Getting started
GraceNote keeps your chord charts on your iPhone and iPad, each one ready to play, with or without an internet connection. There's no account to make: the app opens straight into your library.
The four tabs
- Library: all your songs, with search, favourites and books.
- Sets: the song lists for a service, a rehearsal or a gig.
- Perform: your next set and the songs you played last.
- Settings: language, theme, chart defaults and your data.
On an iPhone the tabs sit in a floating bar at the bottom of the screen. It shrinks when you scroll the list down and comes back when you scroll up. On an iPad the tabs are at the top.
From your first song to the Stage
- In the Library, tap + and pick how to bring the song in: from your browser, by pasting the chart, from a file, or starting a blank one. It's all in Adding songs.
- Check the preview and tap Import. The song opens on the Stage.
- To change anything, tap the pencil. Editing a song shows how.
- To plan Sunday's songs, make a set. See Sets.
Offline
Everything is kept on the device. Once a song is in GraceNote, it opens, plays and can be edited with no connection. You only need the internet to bring a chart in from a website and, with Pro, to keep your devices in sync.
